P001 → GLOM
GLOM is a project that was ran through my ARTD 463 Communication design class at University of Oregon. Through this class, we developed a brand identity for a pop up shop that would display 1-of-1 t-shirts designed by me and my peers. Here I was apart of 3 distinct teams: print, catalog, and venue design. through these teams I was able to utilize my understanding of design principles to help meld together a cohesive visual identity for our pop up shop experience.
Brand Ideation
here we brainstormed our brand name and image through multiple phases and iterations of logos, icons, and mascots.
T-shirt Designs
Once our brand identity was established, I was able to move on to T-shirt design. Here I had a certain amount of freedom to create unique designs for my T-shirts. I started with mockups, and once the green light was given by our professor, I was able to proceed to development of my T-shirts through the printing and cutting of heat transfer vinyl.
Print design
Shop design
My role in the realm of shop design was to create large format vinyl prints to make the pop up shop space match our visual identity. we also utilized the vinyl to promote our event for the shop itself. completely transforming the space into something new.
Catalog design
As part of the catalog team, we brainstormed a catalog that matched our brand image. this catalog served as documentation of the glom event, as well as another piece of visual identity to fit our theme of a faux-corporation. My role prioritized the design of the cover of our catalog's.
